YES THEY CAN! Josh Howard, Dirk Nowitzki, and Erick Dampier all led the team in scoring with 15 points apiece. Erick Dampier continues to impress me. He had 11 rebounds and a HUGE blocked shot of a potential game tying layup by Ricky Davis with about 15 seconds left.
The Mavericks let a 20 point lead dwindle away but their defense made critical stops when it counted. They recovered in time to remain perfect since an 0-4 start, with the 10-game streak matching the fourth-longest in club history.
Kevin Garnett led Minnesota with 19 points and 12 rebounds and also exchanged shoves with Josh Howard, which resulted in double technicals in the final half-minute. It was a heated game but the better team prevailed.
